Bed and Breakfast
We have Bed and Breakfast accommodation available. The rooms are all ensuite and a choice of traditional or continental breakfasts are available. If you have any special dietary requirements please advise us in advance and we will be able to fully cater for your needs.. The cost is €25 per person sharing or €50 per room. We are open all year round
Self Catering
There are 4 self catering apartments available to rent in the courtyard. There are both one and two bedrooms units in different sizes and layout available. Prices range from €200 to €350 per week all year round.
Over the last 10 years the old courtyard at Belan Lodge has been undergoing restoration work carried by Sean and Liam Lawler and various tradesmen. Old cowsheds, hay lofts, stables, grain lofts and workmen's quarters have been restored. Through pure hard work and complete insistence that their original design components (beams and wrought iron) and character have been retained as much as possible.
The results of this "labour of love" is there to be enjoyed by all.
Location
Belan Lodge is located at Moone, Athy, Co. Kildare. It is easily accessible by a modern and efficient road network. It is less than a one hour drive from Dublin Airport. It is approximately 11km from Athy and 16km from Carlow. It is located approximately halfway between the Crookstown exit and the Prumplestown exit on the M9.
If travelling south on the M9 towards Waterford take Exit 3 Crookstown. Turn left at roundabout and travel for approx. 2.5km to the "T Junction" at the N9. Turn right and drive approx. 6.25km and turn right. This right hand turn is signposted for the "High Cross Inn". Travel for approx. 800m. pass the "High Cross Inn "on the left, go around the bend past the left turn for "Kilkea Castle" and take the first entrance on your left. The entrance is located under old beech trees. This leads you directly to the courtyard of Belan Lodge.
